Mortgage Loan Closer / Funder

Mortgage Loan Closer / Funder Job Description

Responsible for closing/funding residential mortgage loans, beginning with producing initial closing disclosures and seeing the loan through to receiving the closing package from the settlement agent.

Job Functions

Verifies accuracy of all signed documents. Verification processes includes: verifying correct vesting, legal description, and ensuring all underwriting conditions are met. May verify funding documents are executed correctly and all Closer checklists and calculations are completed and uploaded to the loan origination system. Identifying potential issues and working to resolve those issues in a timely manner.
Produce Initial Closing Disclosure, review with Loan Officer for approval, disclose to borrower once approved
Submit closing requests to Investor
Balance with Settlement Agent and Investor to produce Final Closing Disclosure
Send Final Closing Package to Settlement Agent for scheduled signing
Receive signed closing package from Settlement Agent once signing is complete
Review executed closing package for completeness
Request any documents and funding conditions from Settlement Agent
Provide Funding Authorization once all conditions have been met
Calculate wire amount to be sent to Settlement Agent
Order wire in appropriate Warehouse Bank’s system
Consolidate and upload executed loan package to Investor’s system for Post Closing review
Monitor loans for conditions and satisfy the tips for Purchase
Upload Purchase Advice to Warehouse Bank’s system

Required Experience

Requires basic job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
Knowledge of residential real estate loan products and related processing and underwriting procedures and requirements, understanding of lending documentation, internal loan processes and governmental regulations and requirements.
Typically requires 3-5 yrs Financial industry experience with exposure to consumer lending and/or mortgage industry.

Skills

Knowledge of residential real estate loan products and related processing and underwriting procedures and requirements.
Knowledge and background use of Loan Origination Systems.
Ability and background of stacking and formatting digital documents and PDF files.
Understanding and knowledge of lending documentation, internal loan processes and governmental regulations and requirements.

We are looking for a loan officer to evaluate, authorize approval or deny loan applications for people or for business. You will act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and you will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.

Leads provided. The Mortgage Loan Officer is a customer focused, inside sales position within the Call Center. Will be responsible for taking in-bound calls through marketing campaigns. Loan Processor Job Description

We’re looking for a Mortgage Loan Processor with experience in the lender model to join our top-producing team. If you are passionate about helping others and excel at closing loan applications quickly, we have a spot for you! Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the loan process from origination to close.

Job Functions

Review credit report and other liability documentation
Calculate income and assets from statements and supporting documents
Must be able to understand and interpret tax returns including self-employed and Schedule “C” income
Proficient in analyzing the title report, purchase contract, HOA, homeowner’s insurance and identifying potential fraudulent or suspicions information
Responsible for obtaining required borrower documentation and required disclosures
COC, LE, and CD preparation
Daily responsibilities include running the loan information through Automated Underwriting System (AUS) and validating the loan documents against the automated underwriting findings and calculating funds required to close
Complete processing milestone and push to Underwriting
Maintain a high level of customer service including extensive communication with the DKMC Loan Officer, Underwriter, Closer and Manager

Required Experience

Minimum 3 years’ processing experience
Experience with DU and LP
Jumbo Loan Processing Experience
Experience with conventional, FHA, VA ,USDA, and State Bond Programs
Strong analytical skills, including manual and automatic income and asset calculations
Strong customer service skills
Strong understanding of Agency guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC)

Skills

Some College Preferred
